Michael Swift: Horologist Michael and his son James are horologists based in the West coast of Scotland on the Isle of Bute. They specialise in old watches and clocks with intrinsic and emotional value to their owners. The purpose of the film was to capture the skill, expertise and more importantly the passion both Michael and James have for their work. The film tells their story and gives their customers an insight in to the care and attention to detail they put in to their work. It is evident that they understand the importance of the emotional value and attachment their customers have to their clocks and the pleasure they bring once repaired. The film was debuted at the Discovery Centre on Bute and both Michael and James became overnight celebrities in the area. The film gained a worldwide audience bringing new customers and businesses from around the world including Canada, the US and Australia.
